As is often the case when WITD (Writing Into The Dark) characters will and do say the darnedest things, as Art Linkletter used to say of children. These fictional characters even sometimes come up with quotable, pithy or sage wisdom. I can't say the thought here is not original... I've never heard it said that way before. At least to the characters in "No, It's Raining" they think it's a pretty smart thought to keep in mind, everyday.
